Kalaupapa Airport (LUP)

Kalaupapa Airport, located in Kalaupapa on the island of Molokai, serves visitors to the Kalaupapa National Historic Park and the State Department of Health Hansen’s Disease facility. The airport consists of a single runway and is owned and operated by the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation Airports Division. Most flights to Kalaupapa Airport originate from commuter airports on the other islands by air taxi operators.

Kalaupapa Airport is located two miles north of the Kalaupapa settlement and only serves commuter and air taxi operations. Since its commission in 1934 several improvements have been made to the airport which includes the widening and extension of the runway and lighting to allow for nighttime operations in case of emergencies. Kalaupapa Airport features a single passenger terminal.
